London Calling

I was going through my mobile phone gallery, when I found some lovely photos taken in London last month. There's no place like London, I can tell you. You barely hear any English, and when you do, you can't understand it.

So I'm using this as an excuse to write my...

Essential 5 London Spots

  • Covent Garden
It's beyond gorgeous. There's a beautiful string quarter playing all the time and there's antique markets all over. There are also lots of shops, including David & Goliath and the weirdest sweets shop you will come across, with edible insects and bacon and wasabi bubblegum, and absinthe drops and margarita lollipops.

  • Chinatown
Get lost in the many similar streets, go buy weird delicacies and fill your bellies for £6.

  • West End
Autograph hunting, anyone? With the many theatres around, you might even find a play you want to see.

  • Portobello Road Market
More antiques. It's a long, long market, but you'll find cheap stuff everywhere. Posters shops rock many, many socks. There's everything there.

  • Denmark Street (Soho)
If you need an musical instrument, no matter how exotic it may be, here's the place to find it. It's music shop after music shop, and their wallpapers are made of guitars.
